What's new at Modra in 2011?
2011 marks 20 years of Modra Technology providing solutions to the carpet industry.
Over the past 20 years, Modra has focussed on the provision of sampling machines and equipment, giving our customers flexible sampling and product development tools. We have sold over 250 sample machines in more than 30 countries.
The Kibby machine gives axminster producers opportunity to experiment with color and design. The Mtuft gives tufted producers the ability to experiment with color, design and construction.
We continue to look for other ways to meet our customers' needs, and are pleased to announce 3 new ranges:
• A range of economical Kibby machines. With a brand new approach to mechanical design and control systems, the Kibby will now be within reach to more people.
• Yarn Coloring on demand. We have developed the DyeLab and YarnLab to dye sample size quantities of yarn in as little as 10 minutes - the perfect companion to the Kibby or Mtuft.
• The Multi Needle Mtuft Pro. Many customers love the Mtuft, but need a faster tufted sample solution. The Mtuft Pro has up to 120 needles (up to 12" pass), produces carpet up to 5 Mt in width and can produce carpet in a wide range of constructions. Shorter production runs are viable due to the smaller creel and this opens up new opportunities to recover otherwise wasted yarn - the associated cost recovery can be huge!
